I would have been 9 or 10 when this was taken. I loved our ‘crossing guard’ lady. I never knew her name but she was always nice. Lived in Totttenville from birth (1957) till the Fall of 1987 when we moved to NW Florida. Dad, William J. Bausch, born and died in Tottenville, with brief times away for CCC’s and WWII. He loved ‘his’ Island.

Her name was Dolores Conners. She was the crossing guard for as long as I can remember…
